The aim of EASAPS fellowships, awarded every year, is to encourage, secure and harmonize surgical training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery across Europe. These fellowships finance a one-month experience to be spent in a European training center. EASAPS decided to set up two annual awards of 2000 € each. One will be granted by personal application for 2018 (to be used in 2019) and a further grant will be awarded for the best paper at EASAPS meeting in BRUGGE/Belgium 2019.
Candidates must be European citizens (<40y), fully trained in reconstructive plastic surgery or being in the last year of residency in their respective country and a member in good standing of their national society. They should be able to communicate in both written and spoken English.
Recipient(s) of the EASAPS Scholarship will be supervised by the head of the Institute who will prepare a confidential report about the candidate’s attendance and interest on the Institute’s activity.
The following documents must be sent to EASAPS secretary before November for the 2018 award:
- Letter written by the candidate indicating the purpose of his/her visit, academic/educational interests and the institutions(s) where he/she wishes to spend the fellowship.
- Curriculum Vitae + if available PDF of thesis (ISBN-code, if available).
- Letter of recommendation from the Head of plastic and reconstructive institution.
- List of institution(s) where he/she wishes to spend the fellowship.
The recipient will be asked to provide a written report to the scientific committee of EASAPS outlining the details of the learning process. In addition, He/she presents a summary at next upcoming EASAPS biennial meeting.
Best Paper Award
To be considered for the EASAPS Young Plastic Surgeon Award, trainees under the age of 40 are eligible to submit a paper dedicated to the field of aesthetic plastic surgery. Papers will be presented at the Biennial EASAPS Congress and winners and their papers will be featured on the EASAPS website, newsletters and on social media channels.
